2018 Spring Share

The 2018 Spring CSA share provides farm fresh, organically grown produce on a weekly basis, from early April through May (8 weeks).  Over the course of the Spring season, shareholders can expect to receive most of the following items:

  • Arugula
  • Asparagus
  • Beets
  • Bok Choi
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Green Garlic
  • Jerusalem Artichokes (Sunchokes)
  • Kale – several varieties
  • Lettuce – several varieties
  • Microgreens – several varieties (new this season!)
  • Radishes
  • Rhubarb
  • Spinach
  • Spring Turnips
  • Swiss Chard
  • Culinary Herbs:  basil, mints, parsley, chives, oregano, sage, tarragon, thyme, and lemon balm

The spring CSA shares kick off the growing season with a dazzling array of bright colors – green, orange, red, gold, and neon rainbow colors. Fresh garden salads are on our shareholders’ menus often because spinach, lettuce, and other leafy greens are the in the shares almost every week. Spring shares are smaller in volume than summer or fall shares, because the growing season is only beginning.

Spring surpluses may include any of the following: arugula, kale, lettuce, radishes, rhubarb, spinach, and sunchokes. Wild foraged morel mushrooms are available in season in limited quantities by special order only.

Bonus: All shareholders receive one dozen pastured/organic eggs as part of the spring share. Shareholders may also opt to purchase an egg share to receive weekly eggs with their CSA shares.

2018 Spring CSA share is $240 + tax [This is equivalent to $30.00/week, or about $4.29/day.]
