Fresh Garden Produce

Shepherd’s Valley is best known for its beautiful gardens and fresh produce.  Our farm raises over 70 types of organically grown fruits, vegetables, and culinary herbs during the growing season .  Non-shareholders may purchase surplus produce in season when available.  The following items are usually available in season in surplus quantities:

  • Asparagus
  • Basil
  • Beans (green beans and other varieties)
  • Beets
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage – green, red, and Napa
  • Corn (sweet corn – several varieties)
  • Cucumbers (slicers, pickling, Armenian, Japanese)
  • Kale (several varieties)
  • Lettuce (several varieties)
  • Mints (peppermint, spearmint, apple mint, others)
  • Mushrooms
  • Pac Choi
  • Peppers (50+ varieties, including banana, bell, cayenne, chili, habanero, jalapeno, sweet, etc.)
  • Potatoes (red & gold))
  • Radishes
  • Rhubarb
  • Spinach
  • Summer Squash (yellow crookneck,  patty pan, spaghetti, zucchini, Cousa)
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Swiss Chard (rainbow chard)
  • Tomatoes (heirloom slicers & cherry tomatoes)
  • Turnips
